EE students win in North Luzon quiz
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING – Contingent from MMSU settled as second runner-up in the 19th Annual National Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers (IIEE) Quiz Show Northern Luzon Eliminations held Sept. 30 at the NTA Auditorium during the 7th Northern Luzon Students Congress hosted by MMSU.
Contestants from Regions I, II, and the Cordillera Administrative Region went through three rounds, each of which consisted of seven questions/problems selected randomly from three categories, namely: electrical engineering, mathematics, and engineering sciences and allied subjects. The MMSU team emerged second after three rounds and landed second runner-up after the 18th “sudden death” question in the tie-breaking round. The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University bagged the championship title while Cagayan State University garnered the first runner up.
According to engineer Eduardo D. Bocoboc, IIEE-MMSU Chapter adviser, hosting the congress contributed to the promotion of unity among schools with IIEE student chapters.
