CTE grads score high in LET

COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION – Graduates here who, for the first time, took the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) given on Sept. 29 in Laoag City, scored high as evidenced by their overall mean ratings of 82.63 percent (elementary) and 82.98 percent (secondary).

Of the 190 elementary education graduate-takers, 157 passed while 33 failed. On the otherhand, among the secondary education takers, 117 passed and 24 failed.

The test for BEEd graduates covered general and professional education subjects. The test for BSEd graduates, on the other hand, covered general, professional education, and major subjects.

The college’s overall performance this year which includes ratings obtained by the repeaters are 74.65 percent (BEEd) and 71.08 percent (BSE).

Exactly 128, 083 graduates took the examination this year. Of these, 62, 160 were BEEd graduates, while 64, 792, BSEd. A total of 19, 384 (31.18%) passed the test for elementary education while 25, 755 (39.75%), secondary education.

The Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers conducted the examinations in 17 testing centers nationwide: Baguio City, Batanes, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag City, Legazpi, Lucena, Masbate, National Capital Region, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Pangasinan, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Recognition starts Dec. 6.
