CAS prof’s book on the Spanish language now out

Siete-Tres: Ten useful Lessons to the Basic of the Spanish Language, a book written by Prof. Fides Bernardo A. Bitanga of CAS, was published recently by the Ilocos Publishing Corp. It is now available for anyone who wants to learn the language.

Aside from the user-firendly language lessons, the book also includes an English-Spanish, Spanish-English dictionary.

Bitanga, who teaches social sciences and foreign language subjects, took special courses in Spanish and French at St. Louis University, Baguio City, from where he also finished his master’s degree in philosophy. An AB Philosophy and AB Theology graduate, he also has educational training in Italian, Latin, Greek, and Hebrew.

His next project is an interactive CD for Spanish and French language learning.

Bitanga, currently an assitant professor I, is a former vice president of the MMSU Federated Alumni Association, Inc. He has also taught at the Divine Word College of Laoag.

The book borrows its name from the popular budget meal Siete-Tres. Composed of rice, noodles, meat toppings, and soup, it costs only ten pesos.
