The University of the Philippines in the Visayas (UPV) topped the list of best schools with 16 of its 18 examinees passing the test. The Central Luzon State University came in second with 10 passers (of 19 examinees).

Meanwhile, three contractual CASAT faculty, all UPV graduates, likewise, passed the examination. They are: Ian Joey Tajonera, Marjorie Galaites, and Carl Julius Ungson. Tajonera topped the exam while Galaites occupied the fifth spot.

In 2003, MMSU was recognized as fifth top-performing school based on the graduates’ performance that year. This was the first time that MMSU graduates took the licensure examination which was also given the first time that year.

Graduates’ performance greatly improved in 2004 when MMSU went up three notches as second top-performing school of fisheries in the country.
