MMSU, ENC partner to promote values formation, spiritual dev’t
By Daniel P. Tapaoan, Jr.
Committed to nurture students in a well-rounded manner, the Every Nation Campus (ENC) and the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) have agreed to conduct activities in line with values formation, leadership and spiritual development starting this year.
This was reflected in a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed by MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and ENC-Ilocos Norte Campus Director Jenson M. Naceno today, April 24, at the Office of the University President.
In the MOA, the ENC will grant scholarship programs to qualified MMSU students under its Real Life Scholarship Program, and will conduct LIFE (Leadership, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence) classes in the university. It will also provide free speakership on leadership and mental health awareness seminars; and offer free one-on-one coaching on peer counseling.
For its part, MMSU will provide the needed resources for the promotion and conduct of student activities. Also, the university, through the Office of Student Affairs and Services, will assist the ENC in partnering with MMSU student organizations.
The MOA signing was witnessed by Dr. Jan Rich Guira, student affairs and services director; Dr. Jahnese Asuncion, institutional student programs and services chief; and Atty. Cheska Arla Agrupis, executive assistant to the president. Attendees from the ENC-Ilocos Norte were Senior Pastor Benny Bagaoisan, Pastor Henry Bolompo, and campus missionaries Ms. Melody Lagundino, Ms. Eileen Alipda, Ms. Louette Andres, and Ms. Aprille Ardan.
In 2016, the ENC partnered with the MMSU College of Engineering for the same purpose. Now, the campus ministry seeks to accommodate other MMSU colleges for its holistic aim of strengthening the moral foundation of students. ENC is guided by its mantra, “Change the Campus, Change the World.” (StratCom)
