The MMSU College of Business, Economics and Accountancy (CBEA) Class of 1996 donated four units of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH-MC) on May 7.

Ms. Lenie Bayangos, one of the members of CBEA Batch ‘96 and the director of the university’s business directorate, said the CCTV cameras worth Php 6,000 were given to help the healthcare workers to monitor the suspect COVID-19 patients.

“This is our way of helping the medical frontliners to take care the admitted patients,” Bayangos said.

Received by Mr. James Marders, supervising administrative officer and head of materials management of the MMMH-MC, the CCTV cameras were installed at the hospital’s laboratory testing and COVID patient rooms.

In its latest update, the MMMH-MC, one of the designated COVID-19 centers, has still three admitted suspect cases in isolation awaiting for laboratory results from the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

Aside from donating CCTV cameras, the CBEA Batch ‘96 also gave food packs to the MMMH-MC workers last April 14 and 23.

Meanwhile, the university has opened its Hostel and Mansion to accommodate the healthcare workers from the MMMH-MC, and visitors from the Department of Health, Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, and World Health Organization.

The Medical Students’ Association of the MMSU College of Medicine also launched a fund-raising drive and was able to donate face masks to the same hospital.

The alumni group, student organization, and the university are among the various sectors that are giving support to the MMMH-MC in its fight against the pandemic disease. (StratCom)
