S&T Journal’s multidisciplinary issue engages int'l reviewers

The revitalized Science and Technology (S&T) Journal has pre-released a regular issue, featuring a collection of multidisciplinary articles on October 28 at the Center for Flexible Learning. This is part of an initiative to enhance the journal's credibility, which now includes a pool of external reviewers, with several recognized international experts.
The enhanced S&T Journal is among the eight priority projects of MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., launched during the “8th MMSU Administration: The First 8 Months of the SUCCEED Vision in Action.”
Dr. Peter James Icalia Gann, Editor-in-Chief, presented on behalf of the journal, revealing that the new editorial board comprises specialists across various disciplines. He stated, “We are working on innovative practices within the journal to enhance our reach and impact. Our goal is to ensure that S&T thrives and gains recognition across various platforms, including Google Scholar, ORCID, Crossref, and Scopus.”
Almost half of the reviewers and editors are from the international scientific community, a strategic move designed to enhance the journal’s reputation within the global research community. Following their appointment, the new editorial team promptly reviewed the publication’s existing policies and guidelines to ensure alignment with international standards. One of their achievements includes the launch of a new S&T webpage featuring an online submission portal for prospective authors.
First published in 2007, the S&T is the official refereed research journal of MMSU, issued biannually. Supported under the Research Directorate, it maintains the high standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal promotes the dissemination of original research across multidisciplinary fields and welcomes submissions from researchers, faculty, students, as well as scholars and professionals from both local and international institutions.
