PJM commends programs with 100% passing rate
Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) community, through University President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., commended the faculty members of the College of Medicine (COM) and the Forestry Department of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development (CAFSD) for achieving a 100% passing rate in the recently concluded Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) and Foresters Licensure Examination (FLE), both administered October 2025.
President Manzano extended the university’s recognition to the dedicated faculty members, headed by their respective deans, Dr. James Patrick Peralta of COM and Dr. Charlie Batin of CAFSD, whose guidance and expertise contributed to the excellent performance of their graduates. He emphasized that the results reflect the university’s sustained passion for academic excellence.
“Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Continue upholding excellence at all costs because this is our brand,” Dr. Manzano said.
He also expressed his appreciation to other colleges in the university for doing great in their recent licensure examinations, yielding to high passing rates.
The October 2025 Physician Licensure Examination recorded a 77.50% national passing rate, with 4,570 passers out of 5,900 takers. MMSU produced nine new physicians, maintaining its reputation as the leading medical school in Region I. It has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in the PLE, producing topnotchers such as Dr. Aira Cassandra Suguitan Castro (Top 1, March 2023) and Dr. Jaymee B. Quindara (Top 9, March 2021).
Meanwhile, in the Foresters Licensure Examination, MMSU’s 19 examinees all passed, marking the university’s second consecutive year of achieving a 100% passing rate. The national passing rate stood at 71.69%, with 1,471 passers out of 2,054 examinees.
This double triumph marks MMSU’s zeal to produce competent professionals and leaders who embody its culture of excellence and pledge to nation-building. (𝘔𝘔𝘝)
