MMSU issues new gate pass

The university is now  issuing a new gate pass that is valid until December 2020.

The primary purpose of the gate pass is for easier control of vehicles plying in the university campus. Those who occasionally visit MMSU may be given a temporary gate pass, which may be secured from any guard on duty at the university gates upon presentation of a valid driver’s license.

Designed by the Office for Strategic Communication, the new gate pass is reflectorized for easirer detection at night and adheres to the MMSU brand standards.

To secure a gate pass, one must submit a photocopy of the vehicle's certificate of registration, official receipt, driver's license, and operator's permit (if it is for hire). Then, fill up an application form issued by the SMS and pay PhP100 (for private vehicles) and PhP 150 (for vehicles for hire) at the cashier's office.

Those who are not allowed to get gate passes are those without a valid driver's license, holders of student permits, and have noisy mufflers. Those who are privileged to get one, they must follow campus traffic rules and regulations such as the no helmet policy, 15 kph speed limit, no overloading, no blowing of horns, and the "no plate no travel" policy. Other rules and regulations required by the LTO are also observed.

The "No Gate Pass, No Entry" policy will be strictly implemented at the opening of classes next month
