New MMSU faculty members undergo onboarding training on institutional policies, guidelines

Thirty-three new faculty members of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) were equipped with digital tools and governance policies through the Faculty Onboarding: Training on MMSU Branding, Data Privacy, Turnitin, MMSU E-Systems, and MVLE on September 14 at the Center for Flexible Learning.

Organized by the Information Technology Center (ITC), the training aimed to familiarize the new members of the academic workforce with institutional policies, administrative systems, and instructional technologies.

Atty. Cheska Arla Agrupis, Data Protection Officer, detailed compliance guidelines and security protocols, while Prof. Herdy Yumul, Office for Strategic Communication Director, outlined the standards for maintaining the university's brand identity.

In addition, Dr. Lee Carlo Simon, Software Development Office Chief, introduced the university's internal digital platforms, and Mr. Arnie Ibe demonstrated Turnitin features designed to uphold academic integrity through similarity checks.

Ms. Christine Estavillo walked the participants through navigating the updated MMSU Virtual Learning Environment (MVLE) interface and structuring course content, while Dr. Gerry Contillo, ICT Skills Development Chief, led practical exercises on generating quizzes and configuring the MVLE gradebook.

The onboarding program underscores MMSU's commitment to fostering a dynamic and well-equipped academic workforce ready to deliver quality education.
