MMSU seals partnership with Sakarya University in Turkey

Sakarya, Turkey – The Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) forged ties with Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) on February 26.


 MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis  and SUAS Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Saribiyik have committed to organizing collaborative conferences, engaging in joint research activities, and implementing initiatives to enhance capacity-building. They will also exchange academic materials and publications and facilitate the interchange of faculty, staff, and students for instructional, research, and community engagement purposes. 


The five-year agreement also includes developing and delivering transnational education and short-term courses, focusing on promoting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.


President Agrupis expressed her gratitude towards SUAS and has high hopes for the new partnership. On the other hand, Dr. Mehmet expressed his eagerness and enthusiasm regarding the promising possibilities of a dynamic collaboration between the two institutions.


The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by CHED Chairperson Prof Popoy De Vera , Dr. Mee Jay Domingo, director for internationalization, linkages, and partnerships, Prof. Jeanette G. Dials, chief of international faculty and student mobility, Prof. Arlene L. Gonzales, chief of international programs, and other key officials from CHED and partnering institutions.


In the morning, the MMSU team signed MOUs with 11 universities at the Marmara Career Fair. On Wednesday, President Agrupis will serve as a featured speaker at the 9th Annual Eurasia Higher Education Summit, while three MMSU officials will serve as panelists. (EURIE 2024). (MKA_StratCom)
