
LHS Laoag qualifies for int’l science, math olympiads

Laboratory High School - Laoag (LHSL) students qualified for the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMOCSEA) and the International Science Olympiad (ISOCSEA) of Southeast Asia, both scheduled this December 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
ISOCSEA awardees include Jemiflor Lindcy Pacris (Diamond), Lucas Marcelo Corpuz and Averell Nicolai Balicoco (Diamond), Angel Rosevyl Vicente and Daphnee Alisson Aquino (Gold), Sean Willard Monje (Silver), Myrcel Aryll Odesey Mangrubang (Silver), and Bronze medalists Ma. Bryghet Quinay, John Vincent Naidas II, Hy Reine Kirsthen Curammeng, Merry Francess Joeselin Lazaro, La Veinn Queenzea Ramos, Alexa Ghenlerie Ramos, Acadia Doctolero, Lucy Gail Castro, Zak Jeiden Tayamen, Rvee Anne Vanessa Cid, Ernesto Pionel Mangaoil, and Quiara Dayne Guia Andrada.
In IMOCSEA, Pacris also bagged Gold alongside Monje and Majell Pasalo, with Silver going to Fortun Maxim Aglugub, Czerny Brielle Benigno, and Kairene Zara Marquez. Bronze went to Quinay, Vince Andrew Pascua, and Destinee Gia Dancel.
The students were mentored by LHS-Laoag faculty led by Mr. Al Cameron Avila, Prof. Froilan Alex Calixtro, Prof. Elsie Marcelino, Prof. Trichelita Pagtaconan, Mr. Joseph Ian Baloaloa, Mr. Ronie Mamala, and Ms. Hazel Marianne Mariano.
Both competitions are organized by the Global League of Winners, Inc. (GLOW), with the third ISOCSEA round set for September 23 via Zoom.
