The Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and Pag-IBIG Fund signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on March 8 at the Center for Flexible Learning. Both parties agreed to assist each other in increasing membership among job order and contract-of-service workers, and contractual employees.

Reaffirming the university's commitment to all its workers, MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis ensured that MMSU will continue prioritizing their welfare across status and ranks. She emphasized that the university's human resources are the foundation of its vision to become a premier university.

Dr. Agrupis also proposed to partner with the Pag-IBIG Fund to build a housing project for MMSU employees.

Meanwhile, Ms. Lilia M. Anguluan, vice president of the member services operation for Luzon of Pag-IBIG Fund, expressed her gratitude to MMSU for the partnership, which she considers as “a legacy on the part of MMSU in looking after its workers, thus giving value to their contributions to the university.”

Dr. Oscar M. Agpaoa, vice president for administration, finance, and business; Dr. Nathaniel Alibuyog, vice president for research, development, and innovation; and Dr. Fides Bernardo Bitanga, director of the human resource management office, were also present at the signing ceremony.

In February, Pag-IBIG Ilocos Norte, headed by Mr. Philip Raymund Salem, conducted a seminar on the different services and programs of the Pag-IBIG Fund. These include membership registration services, multi-purpose loan applications, claims applications, housing loan programs, special savings programs, and home equity appreciation loan programs.
