MMSU inks agreement with United University for intensified student mobility

Looking forward to fruitful collaborative engagements, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and United University (UU) entered into a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on April 12 in Prayagraj, India. Signed by MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and UU Vice Chairman Mr. Satpal Gulati, the five-year agreement includes conducting student exchange programs to increase student mobility and facilitate credit transfer. Joint curriculum programs and research collaborations are also expected to be pursued by the two universities.

"Through our partnership with United University, we will expand our students’ horizons through academic and cultural exchanges,” MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis noted. As MMSU continues to gain global recognition, Dr. Agrupis assured UU that MMSU is focused on developing individuals who can communicate and collaborate with others to bring about impactful global change.

The new partnership highlights UU's Student Study Semester Abroad Program, which enables its students to study at MMSU. The MOA signing is part of United University's foundation celebration, which focused on the spirit of academic synergy and collaboration.

Also present at the event were other UU officials, including Dr. Girdhar Gopal Gulati, UU chancellor; Dr. Jagdish Gulati, UU pro-chancellor; and Prof. A.M. Agrawal, UU vice chancellor. Dr. Saturnina Nisperos, MMSU dean of the College of Computing and Information Sciences, and Prof. Arlene Gonzales, MMSU chief for international programs, joined Dr. Agrupis.
