Josephine Joy E. Mina, a fourth year student from the Laboratory High School–Science Curriculum, emerged first place in the Regional Science Quest held in Dagupan City National High School, Jan. 14-16. Another student, Nefren Roy Lobitaña, second year, placed sixth.

The contest, organized by the Department of Education-Regional Office I, was participated by 49 students from different divisions in the region.

Mina, who earlier topped the Batac City Division science quiz, qualified for the National Science Quest in Calapan City but did not push through due to budgetary limitations.
