MMSU trains employees on drone spraying
By Jessyn Keith Valite
To further enhance knowledge on agricultural drone operation, MMSU, through the Information and Technology Center and the Agridom Academy, organized a Spray Drone Training for the DJI Agras T50 model on May 27-30.
The training was designed to introduce and enhance the participants’ understanding of the DJI Agras T50, an agricultural drone designed for surveys, spraying, and a variety of farming scenarios.
Facilitated by Mr. Ian Mervin Bermejo, Senior Instructor at Agridom Academy, theoretical sessions and hands-on training were introduced to participants. This includes technical specifications, operational procedures, and safety protocols necessary for effectively utilizing the DJI Agras T50 in agricultural applications.
In addition to mastering the drone’s functions and maximizing its potential in the field, the training also aimed to raise awareness for participants about aviation regulations and promote responsible drone piloting.
Faculty members and staff from the College of Engineering, National Bioenergy Research and Innovation Center, Information Technology Center, College of Computing and Information Sciences, and the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development participated in the training.
Agridom Academy, a subsidiary of Genius Technology Inc., in the Philippines, specializes in providing comprehensive commercial drone training and innovative agricultural solutions for all levels of expertise.
