<B><P align=center><FONT face=Verdana size=5>LES pupils shine in national presscon; </FONT></P><P align=center><FONT face=Verdana size=5>publication adviser wins award</FONT></P></B>
Budding scribes and broadcasters from the Laboratory Elementary School (LES) won awards in the 2009 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) held Feb. 15-21 in Naga City. They bagged third places in radio broadcast, English category, and in news scriptwriting. Denise Joshua Nacnac was recognized as third placer in the best anchor contest.
Other members of the team were: Louise Joy Martin, Ann Marguerite Guerrero, Lane Franchelle Caleon, APJ Juliani Padaong, Jay Emmanuel Lagamia, and Marc Artemius Joseph Paderon.
The Filipino edition of ABC, the LES school organ, was on top of its game, winning first place in the feature page category. It was also adjudged sixth place in the contest for best editorial page. The ABC-English Edition won fifth best feature page.
Furthermore, Dr. Antonio Asuncion, ABC adviser, was cited as most outstanding school paper adviser in Region I. Of the 13 trophies garnered by Region I, seven was contributed by MMSU-LES.
