GS holds R & E planning writeshop

Graduate School – Recognizing the importance of research and extension in scholarly work, the college conducted a one-day Research and Extension (R&E) Planning Writeshop on Feb. 22 at the CTEX Training Hall. Core faculty members of the college, deans of colleges with graduate programs, department chairpersons, program and function coordinators, and GSSSC officers attended the writeshop.

This activity aimed to establish and promote a culture of research and extension in the college and forge partnership with concerned administrators and faculty who are committed to shape the R&E goals of the university.

Dr. Frederick F. Rodrigo, research and publications coordinator, and Dr. Grace V. Ancheta, extension coordinator, presented the GS R&E agenda, respectively. The participants joined in the discussion of the potential programs, projects, and activities that could be implemented along the areas specified in the agenda. At the end of the activity, participants were encouraged to submit R&E project proposals for possible funding from MMSU or other agencies.
