To improve its method of publishing quality research, the Mariano Marcos State University – Graduate School (MMSU-GS) conducted a training-workshop on preparing and developing research publication last August 11-13.

The three-day virtual activity taught the GS faculty members on how to systematically develop their research studies into publishable scientific journals.

Participants were taught on the following topics: Setting the Research Publication Direction; Anatomy of Research Article; Writing to Disseminate, Searching Appropriate Journals for Submission; Rewrite-Review-React-Revise (4Rs), Submission Tips; Responding to Reviewer’s Inputs and Moving Forward. These were discussed by Dr. Marlowe Aquino, director of university’s science and technology park and faculty member of the said college.

Dr. Julius P. Manzano, GS dean, said the training-workshop is an initial step of the college toward upgrading their graduate programs and in complying with the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 15 s. 2019 (Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for Graduate Programs).

MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis urged the GS dean and program chairpersons to revisit existing policies and create new institutional protocols in publishing quality research. She also hopes the GS faculty would help the college redirect itself and maximize its resources for research publication. (StratCom)
