DHSUD, Pag-IBIG Fund orient MMSU on 4PH program

To support the university’s initiative to provide housing for its employees, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Region 1 (DHSUD R01) and Pag-IBIG Fund Ilocos Norte conducted an orientation on the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Program (4PH) at the FEM Hall Conference Room today, September 4.


MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. mentioned the program aligns with his vision of providing housing for MMSU personnel, particularly those from other regions who need accommodation within the province.


Faculty Association, Inc. (MMSU-FAI), Association of Non-teaching Administrative Personnel (MMSU-ANTAP), and staff from both the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance and the Office of the Vice President for Planning and Strategic Foresight attended the orientation to be informed of the program’s processes.


Engr. Larry Ramos of DHSUD discussed the 4PH concepts, planning process, requirements, and opportunities under the program, emphasizing the projects that respond to the needs of MMSU employees.
Meanwhile, Engr. Keislyn Anne Padilla of DHSUD and Pag-IBIG Housing Relations Officer Joy Jara presented the financing schemes, support mechanisms, and home loan windows from the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), as well as other loans that employees may avail for a more affordable homeownership.


Also present were Engr. Sherwin Patanao and Mr. Herald Alinao from DHSUD, Vanessa Agbayani from Pag-IBIG, MMSU Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Fides Bernardo Bitanga, and Director for Human Resources Management Mr. Gerard Ragudo.


Overall, the orientation provided a comprehensive understanding of the program’s legal basis, institutional framework, financing, and implementation processes, preparing stakeholders for future housing developments in the university.
