Batch 2009 scores 100% passing in mechanical engineer exam

ALL 12 members of MMSU Mechanical Engineering Class 2009 passed the licensure examination conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Oct. 14-15 in Manila.

With a graduate from Batch 2003 who took the exam but failed, MMSU recorded an actual passing rate of 92.3 percent, marking an improvement from last year’s 88.8 rating. The national average is 60.47 percent.

Ecstatic with their feat, the successful examinees, uniformly dressed in white shirts, visited their former mentors at the College of Engineering on Oct. 21.

Engineer Robert Martin, chair of the mechanical engineering department, attributes the impressive results to the hard work and discipline of the students and to the support of the university community.
