Achievers recognized in PRAISE, Presidential Awards

Outstanding MMSU employees and students were honored during the 34th MMSU Anniversary Convocation held Jan. 6 at the MMSU Teatro Ilocandia.
Under the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), Dr. Aris Reynold V. Cajigal, an instructor at the College of Teacher Education, received the Outstanding Teacher Award while Ms. Menisa A. Antonio, a science research assistant, was hailed Outstanding Researcher.
Among the presidential awardees were the MMSU Sweet Sorghum Team, which won for MMSU the 2010 CHED Best HEI Research Program; the MMSU Hydrous Bioethanol (95hBE) Team, second placer in the PCARRD Best Research Paper in Agriculture and Natural Sciences Competition; the Accounting Office, chosen anew by the Association of Government Accountants in the Philippines as Most Outstanding Accounting Office (National Government Agency Category);
The Physical Education, Sports, and Socio-Cultural Development Office (PESSDO) for their dedication and teamwork in honing the skills and talents of MMSU in sports, culture, and the arts; PESSDO Director Arsenio T. Gallego who led Team MMSU to a ninth consecutive championship in the SCUAA-I Meet; Engr. Antonio S. Arcangel for his dynamic partnership with MMSU in the adoption, commercialization, and promotion of the university’s sweet sorghum technologies and products; and board topnotchers Jerick P. Dagdagan, first placer in the Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination, and Miafrecelle P. Cadiz, eighth placer in the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
The awardees received plaques and cash awards.
