Two new vehicles added to the modernized MMSU transport fleet
In a ceremony held today, December 5, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) blessed two new vehicles, marking another step in modernizing its transport fleet at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Hall. The blessing was officiated by Fr. Jaime Jose.
The blessing, officiated by Fr. Jaime Jose, welcomed two new vehicles: a Toyota Hiace GL Grandia to serve as the presidential vehicle, and a Toyota Hiace Commuter Deluxe for the College of Teacher Education (CTE) in Laoag City, enhancing the university’s mobility for administrative work, academic activities, and collaborations both within and beyond the campus.
MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., who initiated transport vehicle modernization, said the administration will continue to allocate funding for the university’s transport services, adding, “We want to provide all campuses and, if we can, every unit with new vehicles to make travel more comfortable for our faculty, staff, and students.”
CTE Dean Ronald Candy Lasaten, joined by the college’s faculty and staff, thanked the university leadership for their support, saying, “We are grateful to President Manzano for always supporting the Laoag campuses. His support will help CTE improve its mobility as we pursue more initiatives as a Center for Excellence in Teacher Education.”
Administrators and staff at FEM Hall also attended the ceremony. With these new vehicles, MMSU continues to improve its transport fleet, providing safer, more reliable, and efficient services for everyone. (𝘚𝘊𝘐)
