MMSU marks Nat'l Government Employees' Week

In observance of the National Government Employees’ Week, the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) of Mariano Marcos State University conducted a webinar on government-mandated benefits, followed by a Pre-Retirement Orientation on December 9.
Anchored on the theme “Nagkakaisang Lingkod Bayani: Talino, Dangal, at Serbisyong Tapat sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the morning session convened resource persons from key government agencies, namely the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Pag-IBIG Fund. The activity aimed to keep MMSU employees informed about current policies, benefits, and processes that affect their welfare as public servants.
During the webinar, Mr. Alvin Luciano Ubasa of PhilHealth discussed updates on membership, benefits, and claims procedures, emphasizing the importance of maximizing PhilHealth privileges for medical needs. Ms. Ma. Fumiko Llanto of the Pag-IBIG Fund presented the agency’s savings programs, loan offerings, and online services, encouraging employees to utilize Pag-IBIG’s expanded financial assistance options. Meanwhile, Ms. Jan Marie Casabay of GSIS provided updates on life insurance, loan programs, and retirement packages, highlighting recent policy enhancements intended to better support government workers.
In the afternoon, HRMO held a Pre-Retirement Orientation at the FEM Hall Conference Room, with the theme “Stepping Forward with Confidence: Your Journey to Retirement Readiness.” The session served as a way for employees nearing retirement to learn practical steps in preparing for their transition.
Ms. Casabay walked the participants through the retirement options available under the agency, the claims process, benefit computations, and services designed to assist future retirees. The orientation aimed to empower employees with the knowledge they need to plan for a smooth and secure retirement.
Through these activities, MMSU reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the welfare, professional growth, and long-term well-being of its employees even beyond their retirement.
