MMSU, Universitas Brawijaya ink MOA for VetMed collaboration
Reinforcing its veterinary medicine program, the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) held a virtual Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in Indonesia on December 9 to establish academic, scientific, and research cooperation and exchange.
The collaboration, carried out by the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programs of both institutions, will facilitate faculty and student exchanges, the sharing of academic literature and information, and joint research initiatives.
The ceremonial signing was led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Aris Reynold Cajigal, who represented MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr., and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean Melvin Bagot. Signing on behalf of Universitas Brawijaya was Dr. Diyah Ayu Oktavianie, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Faculty members of both institutions also witnessed the signing.
In his message, Dr. Cajigal thanked Universitas Brawijaya for partnering with MMSU and emphasized MMSU’s commitment to global collaboration, forging ties with universities across the globe to ensure that these initiatives are realized in due time.
Meanwhile, Dr. Oktavianie expressed hope that the agreement would strengthen cross-border collaboration in veterinary medicine and enable both UB and MMSU to pursue initiatives that create meaningful impact in the veterinary community.
