PJM reappointed as MMSU President for 4-year term

Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. was officially sworn in today, July 11, as President of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) for a full four-year term.
The oath-taking was administered by the MMSU Board of Regents, chaired by Commission on Higher Education Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis, during a special meeting held just before the university’s 47th Commencement Exercises.
Dr. Manzano will begin his official term on August 1, 2025, which will run until July 31, 2029.
Before his appointment was confirmed, Dr. Manzano presented his President’s Report covering his first 150 days in office, from February 11 to July 11. The report focused on achievements in four key areas: Academic Leadership, Institutional Leadership, Resource Mobilization, and Public Service.
Dr. Manzano first assumed the presidency on February 11, 2025, to serve the unexpired term of 7th MMSU President Dr. Agrupis, which is set to end on July 31, 2025.
