MOU inked between MMSU and top Bangladesh’s private university

Entering into a historic partnership, a top university in Bangladesh committed to advance quality education through international programs with the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) starting this year.
North South University (NSU) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and MMSU have tied up to promote academic and research exchanges, having signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a virtual ceremony yesterday, June 2.
NSU is the top private university in Bangladesh and ranked 215th in Asia in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Ranking - Asia 2022.
The historic partnership was forged through the MOU signing between MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and NSU Vice Chancellor Atiqul Islam.

Both universities agreed to organize international lecturing programs and joint offering of certificate courses. NSU and MMSU will also pursue joint research in fields of mutual interest and conduct academic symposia, workshops, conferences, and meetings. The two schools will also share their experiences in innovative teaching methods and curriculum design. Faculty and student exchanges, internship and immersion programs will also be undertaken.
Opening more education and research opportunities, the partnership will take effect within five years.
PSCA thanked NSU Vice Chancellor Islam for partnering with MMSU, and affirmed her commitment to make the partnership successful. “We are confident that MMSU can contribute to the achievement of your vision to become the center of excellence in higher education,” she expressed.
Prof. Islam welcomed their first-ever pact with a Philippine university, and assured their support to sustain the collaboration.
Established in 1992, NSU offers various degree programs under the fields of business and economics, engineering and physical sciences, humanities and social sciences, and health and life sciences. Its credits are accepted in most of the reputable universities of the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, and other countries. (HLY/JVBT, StratCom)
