MMSU forges partnership with Indonesian university

Adding to its roster of Indonesian university-partners, the Mariano Marcos State University has entered into a formal agreement with Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa (Sumbawa University of Technology) today, September 29. 

 

To promote education and academic exchanges, MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and UTS Rector Chairul Hudaya virtually signed a memorandum of understanding this morning, formalizing the start of a five-year collaboration between the two institutions who will jointly organize symposia, workshops, conferences, and meetings; to share innovative teaching methods and curriculum design; to conduct joint research endeavors; to facilitate faculty and student exchange; and, venture into academic internship and immersion programs. 

 

PSCA expressed delight on the new partnership, committing the university “will offer a unique mentorship that will nurture a joint academic community that is impactful to the society.” 

 

Joining the event were UTS director for international affairs Eri Sofiatri; UTS vice-rector for international linkages Nurul Izzati; UTS IA staff Mauro Scabuzzo; MMSU vice-president for planning and development Ami Ruth Cocson; internationalization, linkages and partnerships director Mee Jay Domingo; internationalization programs chief Arlene Gonzales; and, College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development dean Sosima Demandante.
