Graduates top Certified Human Resource Associate exam

MMSU shined in the Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA) assessment examination, posting a whopping 100 percent passing rate with three of its graduates as top passers.

 

Ten graduates from the MMSU College of Business, Economics and Accountancy hurdled the CHRA test conducted by the Human Resource Educators' Association of the Philippines (HREAP) on October 26 and November 23.

 

The three topnotchers are Don McArthney Tugaoen who landed first place with a rating of 87.25%; Victoria Camille Balinbin at fourth place, 85.75%, and Janelle Marie Agamao at fifth place, 85.25%. Tugaoen is a faculty member of CBEA while Balimbin and Agamao graduated in 2018.

 

Other passers were Winalyn Agustin, Randy Labasan, Gina Mae Coloma, Tricia Cayabyab, Michaela Aquino, Nica Mae Padulip, and Keith Allen Pandaraoan. 

 

"We are so happy that all of us passed the test. Those who made it to the list of topnotchers is just a bonus for us," Tugaoen exclaimed, adding that all of them were graduates of BS in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management.

 

These passers from MMSU were among the 64 successful examinees for Batch 7. The overall passing rate was 85.33 percent.

 

The CHRA is a qualifying test to take advanced HR certification programs of HREAP. This four-hour examination was divided into two sets: Set 1 covered recruitment and selection, workplace learning and development, compensation & benefits, and performance management, job analysis and design, and risk management; while Set 2 was about labor and HR related laws.

 

The HREAP is a professional membership organization of human resource educators in the country that focuses on the development of human resource programs, academe-industry collaboration, research publication, and learning and development. As of August 2019, the association has a total of around 720 individual members and 60 member-schools and companies.
