The Newly Born Instruction Directorate of MMSU is headed by a Woman

     Dr. Epifania O. Agustin, former Director of the Research Directorate is now the first woman Dean of Instruction of the newly created Instruction Directorate (ID) of the Mariano Marcos State University.

     Through the years, the former Director for Research and Development, served the university with utmost dedication. As a researcher by heart, she spearheaded the development of the Operations Research Manual of the Research and Development Directorate of the university. Likewise, she is also an instrumental in the formulation of MMSU Profile Updates. Dr. Agustin excels in various fields especially in the aspect of research. Most of her research papers won in regional and national awards. Because of her devoted dedication in research, She was awarded as the Most Outstanding MMSU Researcher in 2001.

     To mention some of her relevant undertakings and dedications to her work as Director for Research, it is within her term that most of researches of MMSU won in regional and national awards. With her management skills and significant accomplishments and contributions of Dr. Agustin, is indeed a very qualified servant to occupy the deanship of the Instruction Directorate.

     The ID was created under the revised university organizational structure, which was approved by the Board of Regents through resolution No. 575, s. 2005. It is one of the directorates under the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) with the Dean of Instruction as the head of office. It is tasked to orchestrate among others related to academic concerns with a vision to make the university a regional center for the promotion of growth, transfer and application of knowledge. Likewise, to translate academic excellent into a major contribution to morality, culture, economic well being and quality of life. The success of its operation will depend greatly on the strength and initiatives/strategies of the dean and the support of the new leadership. Support from the working committees is also equally important in the attainment of the key objectives of ID’s academic concerns.
