COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS, AND ACCOUNTANCY – Accountancy students here garnered major awards during the Ilocos Norte Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Accountancy Week celebration, Aug. 8, at the Divine Word College of Laoag.

Adjudged champion in their respective contest categories were: John Laurel Uclusin, oration; Emil Adonis Riguis, quiz bee; and Jeff Banquil, INALGA logo-making. Maria Jerni Gapas settled as second runner-up in quiz bee.

Quiz winners will represent the province in the Northern Luzon Regional Accounting Quiz Bee on Oct. 28.

Meanwhile, updates on the accountancy profession and the changes in accounting and auditing standards were presented during the occasion.  PICPA Executive Vice President Andres Cabuyadao and PSBA Reviewer Rhamir Dalioan made the lectures.
