The MMSU Strategic Communication Office conducted a Civil Service Exam (CSE) review for university employees on March 01.

Twenty participants joined the review at the Ferdinand E. Marcos conference room. The CSC review aimed to equip them with the necessary knowledge, particularly in English and Math, in preparation for the March 3 examination.

Dr. Floresto Franco Jr, MMSU chief for sports development and assistant professor of the Department of Mathematics, was invited to serve as a resource speaker for the Math subject review. His lecture focused on basic mathematical equations, which include algebra, arithmetic, geometry, and trigonometry.

On the other hand, Prof. Luvee Hazel Aquino, associate professor of the Department of Languages and Literature, was the resource speaker for the English subject review. She discussed introductory English courses, which include speech, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.

StratCom Director Prof. Herdy Yumul delivered an enlightening speech during the review, underscoring that passing the CSC exam "is not the sole measure of competence but as a gateway – to give you opportunities to various job positions."

The CSE, also known as the Career Service Examination, is conducted twice a year by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). It comprises two levels: sub-professional, for those seeking first-level government roles in clerical and administrative fields, and professional, allowing passers to apply for both first- and second-level government positions, providing opportunities in clerical and managerial positions.
