GRADUATES of the department of pharmacy of the College of Health Sciences (CHS) turned in a 75 percent passing rating in the January 2007 licensure examination.

They were:  Ricardo Acido Jr., Sherilym Mae G. Agaran, Guada Flor B. Agcaoili, Alicia C. Ani, Ener Jaycel G. Agpoon, Karina Joy C. Aguda, Laarni L. Aguinaldo, Ruby Jane A. Andag, Doris Maribel A. Bagasol, Ruel A. Ballesteros, Aileen Joy Q. Bumanglag, Maria Monette P. Bumanglag, Maricel T. Currameng, Madelyn G. Fernandez, Janet V. Gajes,

Ma. Khateeja L. Ganal, May Rose A. Gaor, Rachel U. Lopez, Hermes Tina A. Mamuad, Amelia D. Martinez, Ma. Beverly B. Miranda, Jane D. Pascua, Dexter O. Perdido, Rose Lily G. Rosario, Jurris Mureen P. Sablay, Jenny C. Salvador, Andrea B. Semilla, Raymund N. Tapaoan, Glorilyn T. Udaundo, and Diana Rose V. Valdez.

These 30 passers were among 40 examinees from MMSU. The national record was 54.5 percent.

According to CHS Acting Dean Teresita Ann O. Tinio in a report to President Miriam E. Pascua, the examinees and the passers were not all members of Class 2006.  Of the 40 who took the test, 31 belonged to Batch 2006; 6, 2005; 2, 2004; and 1, 2003. Of the 30 passers, 27 came from Class 2006.  If institutional passing would have been computed based solely on the performance of the 2006 graduates, 87.1 percent passing rating would have been credited to MMSU, Tinio said.

The figures here, Tinio added, were computed based from the list of passers as verified against the list of examination applicants posted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).  The department, she said, has yet to request PRC for official results.
