DUE TO faculty members’ difficulty in catching the 4-5 p.m. “Hataw” sessions at the Teatro Ilocandia/athletic grounds every Friday, President Miriam E. Pascua issued a memorandum informing that the Physical Education and Sports Development Office (PESDO) will already offer 8-9 a.m. sessions on the same day and venues starting Nov. 10.

The offering of a morning session, she said, will solve the faculty members’ problem on the lack of time in joining the said physical fitness activity.  Teachers usually have 4-5 p.m. classes.  “If they are offered an option,” she said, “we might have a better turn out of attendance.”

She ordered the deans, heads of units, and chiefs of offices to strictly monitor their staffs’ participation by checking their attendance and submitting such to the Personnel Office.

The new memorandum issued by the president is in response to PESDO’s observation that only few personnel are attending the said activity that answers the call and order of the Civil Service Commission for a healthy workforce in government.
