REPORTS from the national dailies Feb. 8 announced the Mariano Marcos State University as the number one top-performing school of physical therapy in the Philippines with 10 or more examinees with at least 75 percent passing percentage. This was based on the result of the Licensure Examination for Physical and Occupational Therapy conducted this month in the cities of Manila, Cebu, and Baguio.

The university, likewise, ruled the list of top ten examinees with four graduates landing on the top three spots and one occupying the seventh slot.  They are:  Vienna Gallardo Bumanglag posting a rating of 83.35 as top one; Myrna Icalla Ragsac – 82.95, top two; Lyle Van Aldrich Morales Ines – 82.70, top three; and Glaiza Ramos Gapuzan – 81.25, top seven.  All of them are members of Class 2006.

These topnotchers were among 15 passers from the university who recorded a 75 percent passing mark.  Twenty took the test, most of them coming from Class 2006.

The national passing record was 38.6 percent representing only 405 of the 1,049 who took the test.
