IN LINE with what Dr. Lucena Felipe, director of the University Library System, calls ‘customer-focused service’, the different sections of the main library were rearranged to address ventilation and accessibility concerns.

The circulation, reserve, serials, and general reference sections are now located at the ground floor where the temperature is cooler compared to the upper floor, which is now devoted to exhibits, museums, and the archives.

In addition, the Filipiniana section,which includes the Iluko Research and Information Center and the National Statistics Office Information Center, was moved to an air-conditioned area, also at the ground floor.

The new set-up has received positive feedback from library users.
