THE COMMISSION on Audit (COA) has assigned a new audit team leader for MMSU.

Ms. Josephine M. Tumaneng, who holds a State Auditor III position, reported to the university on July 20.

Prior to her assignment at MMSU, she served in the same capacity as audit team leader for the Department of Education’s Division of Laoag City and four other national high schools such as the Bacarra National Comprehensive High School, Solsona NHS, Marcos NHS, and Gabu NHS.  She stayed with the said institutions for five years.

Tumaneng has been with COA since 1977 and had served the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and the City Government of Laoag.  She was with the city government for 10 years where she acted as assistant city auditor, OIC city auditor, and team supervisor for the audit of barangays of Laoag City.

She obtained her B.S. in Commerce, major in accounting, from the Divine Word of Laoag and finished at Northwestern University some units leading to Master of Arts in Public Administration.

Before coming to MMSU, she attended the Mid-Year Assessment and Annual Planning Conference for State Universities and Colleges.
