
MMSU signs MoU with Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I
Mariano Marcos State University forged a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I (UPI Y.A.I) for academic partnerships on June 13 during Northwestern University’s (NWU) International Week.
Held and hosted by NWU, MMSU formalized a partnership encompassing academic exchange, student mobility, joint research, professional development, micro-credential training, and other collaborative educational initiatives.
The partnership was formalized by MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr. and UPI Y.A.I’s Director for International Office, Choirul Anwar. Also present were MMSU officials: Vice President for Planning and Strategic Foresight Mee Jay Domingo, Internationalization, Linkages, and Partnerships Director Jeannette Dials, Sustainability and Futures Thinking Director Arlene Gonzales, and Foreign Students Services Chief Mark Joseph Pastor.
Meanwhile, NWU, the University of Northern Philippines, Saint Louis College, the University of Luzon, and the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation sealed the same partnership with UPI Y.A.I.
Dr. Manzano expressed gratitude to NWU for convening the HEIs in the region, along with the Indonesian university. “Let us collaborate, as this is important to improving the quality of the higher education sector in the Philippines and globally,” he said.
The NWU International Week took place from June 13 to 14 with the theme “Strengthening ASEAN Academic Collaboration.” It focused on bringing together academic leaders and representatives for dialogue and collaboration.
