SEVEN 2005 graduates of the accountancy program of the university passed the certified public accountants licensure examination given by the Prof e s s iona l Regul a t ion Commission this month.
The new accountants are: Jennifer C. Camalig, Cyril M. Ca r ag a y , Jos ephine G. Clemente, Vic Mar G. Grande, Gayfelyn D. Labayan, Joemar L. Onnagan, and Lyndzey Anne D. Yatar.
The graduates registered a high passing percentage of 87.5, a figure way beyond the national record of only 23.56 percent.
In October last year, 12 other members of Class 2005 passed the examination recording a passing rate of 57.14 percent - 30.36 percent lower than this year’s performance. The group, however, produced a seventh placer in Mark Joseph A. Rivera, the batch’s magna cum laude. The national record last year was also a little lower which posted at 25.18 percent.
Meanwhile, two chemical engineering graduates also passed in April their licensure examination registering a 50 percent passing rating for MMSU. They were: Louvelyn B. Acang and Gladys N. Gaoat.
Furthermore, the civi l engineering department of the College of Engineering just reported the passing of three of its graduates in the licensure examination conducted this month. The recent passers are: Joebison A. Agcaoili, Jovito B. Estabillo, and Rogelio A. Santiago.
