MMSU is 8th best ME school in PH

BS Mechanical Engineer graduates put MMSU in the limelight again after registering a high passing percentage that placed the university as the number eight best mechanical engineering school in the country.

 

Of the 11 takers in the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission on August 25-26, 10 passed, yielding an institutional passing rate of 90.91 percent as against the 70.61 percent national success rate. These passers are among the 3,928 new mechanical engineers in the country. 

 

MMSU was among the 10 top-performing schools with 10 to 49 examinees and with at least 80 passing percentage. 

 

A total of 5,563 graduates from various colleges and universities took the exam at the testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Lucena, and Tacloban.

 

"All glory to God," exclaimed MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis as she thanked the students and the College of Engineering for making the university as a top-performing school in mechanical engineering this year.

 

Meanwhile, 23 graduates passed the same examination last February. These graduates posted a 65.71 percent institutional passing rate, higher than the 50.49 percent national average.
