MMSU is 3rd best pharmacy school in PH anew

After four consecutive years of being one of the best pharmacy schools in the Philippines, MMSU again emerged as the number three top-performing school in the country based on the March 2019 Pharmacist Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Of the 70 takers from MMSU College of Health Sciences (CHS), 67 hurdled the test, yielding an institutional passing rate of 95.71 percent as against the 64.94 percent national success rate. They are among the 2,100 new pharmacists in the country.

A total of 3,234 pharmacy graduates from the different schools in the country took the test in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last March 6-7. The examination results were released on March 12.

Dr. Aileen Camangeg, chair of the CHS Department of Pharmacy, attributes this feat to the determination of the graduates and the support of the faculty and administrators.

“I am really proud and thankful to our passers for keeping MMSU as one of the top-performing pharmacy schools in the country,” Dr.Camangeg said.

“We took an internship training and, after that, we reviewed for six months before we went to Baguio to fully prepare for the test,” shared Christian Andrew Tagami (Class 2018), one of the passers.

MMSU was the number two top-performing school in three years – 2015, 2016, and 2018 – and number six best school last 2017.  Recently, it was also named as the number three top-performing physical therapy and nursing schools in the country.
