MMSU-CTE students garner multiple awards at International Aramid Project Pitching 2025

Student groups and presenters from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) garnered multiple awards at the recently concluded International Aramid Project Pitching 2025, held virtually via Zoom on October 11–12.
With participants from across the globe, including Vietnam, the United States, Indonesia, and various universities in the Philippines, MMSU-CTE students successfully presented their project proposals focusing on environmental protection, creativity and cultural expression.
Among the top recognitions, the Best Pitched Project Award was clinched by two MMSU teams. Zyda Ysobel Manglal-lan, Kevin Angelo Castillo, and Jethro Nicolas received the award for their innovative project β€œπ˜žπ˜©π˜ͺ𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘀π˜ͺπ˜¦π˜―π˜΅β€ that aims to revive and explore ancient myths and legends, examining their enduring power, cultural relevance, and lasting influence on societies and the arts.
Meanwhile, Micah Clemen Thea Agbayani and Ilay Louise Bulong also secured the same accolade for their climate change-centered project, β€œπ˜Šπ˜’π˜π˜ 𝘰𝘧 π˜‹π˜Άπ˜΅π˜Ί,” which aims to empower the youth for sustainable action toward environmental conservation.
The event further recognized exceptional presentation skills through the Best Presenter Awards, conferred upon the following MMSU students: Reanne Angela Ugalde, Christian Sampayan, Wilmar Sayapal, Mousel Sahagon, Jefferson Fernando, Majhoy Ancheta, Carl Denver Domingo, Kurt Joshua Galano, Mark Lauren Ramos, Jherly Halaena Valencia, Micah Clemen Thea Agbayani, Ilay Louise Bulong, Maynard Agraan, Kristine Soberano, Joshua Angel, Charmaine Alonzo, Crissa Disu, Noriel Vallan, Mark Lorenz Agustin, Milfer Jackson Coloma, Fatima Abiba, Zyda Manglal-lan, Jethro Nicolas, and Kevin Angelo Castillo.
All awardees are currently enrolled in different programs under the MMSU College of Teacher Education and represented their respective organizations during the competition.
The international competition exhibited projects addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Other submissions addressed SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), with several entries stressing the value of cultural preservation.
Now in its fifth iteration, the International Aramid Project Pitching is a United States-based initiative dedicated to fostering innovation and nurturing the creative potential of young visionaries. It provides students worldwide with an avenue to present creative solutions to pressing global challenges.
