THE COLLECTIVE Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between the Association of Non-Teaching Administrative Personnel (ANTA) and the MMSU management has been registered with the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The commission, through Director Maria Leticia G. Reyna of the Personnel Relations Office, congratulated ANTAP and MMSU for coming up with a CNA which would pave the way for a harmonious working relationship between them.
Director Nieves T. Duldulao of CSC-Ilocos Norte personally came to award the certificate of registration in simple ceremonies held July 11 at the Administrative Conference Room. This was attended by officers and board of directors of the association as well as the advisory committee and some MMSU administrative officials headed by President Miriam E. Pascua.
ANTAP is a labor organization registered with the Department of Labor and Employment on July 10, 1992 and with the CSC on Sept. 9, 1999.
The CNA provides members some basic rights and privileges including travel opportunities, membership in MMSU committees, retirement leave, health and safety, among others.
The association, likewise, endeavors to help the university in its cost-cutting measures by enjoining its members to save on office supplies, electricity, and other utilities.
Article VI of the CNA further provides that a yearly incentive is given to every ANTAP member in recognition of the joint efforts of the association and the management in achieving planned targets, programs, and services especially in the areas of productivity and cost-cutting. Said benefit is to be charged against savings of the university no longer intended for any specific purpose.
The association further provides a Mutual Financial Assistance Service loan of P30,000 to those who have been members for at least 11 years and with good loan repayment record. This is payable in 20 months and with only five percent interest.
Meanwhile, ANTAP has a new set of officers this year who are bound to serve for two years. They are: Carlina Pascua, president; Zenaida Agngarayngay, vice president; Bella Gervacio, secretary; Remedelina Villena, treasurer; Gerard Ragudo, auditor; Agnes Gabriel, business manager; and Corazon Diana Pastor, PIO. Members of its board of directors are: Errol Valdez, Edna Pascua, Fernando Sugui, Elsie Romero, Jose Zafaralla, and Eddimar Reyes.
