<FONT face=Garamond size=5><P align=left><STRONG>MEP awards CLAOs to 10 beneficiaries</STRONG></P></FONT>

PRESIDENT Miriam E. Pascua awarded May 24 certificates of land ownership (CLAOs ) to 10 beneficiaries from Sitio Bacucang, Brgy. Quiling Sur, Batac, Ilocos Norte.

The recipients were those who agreed to voluntarily transfer their agricultural lands or swap their lots to a designated relocation site during the construction of the university in the late 70s.

A total of 6,975 sq m were distributed t the following individuals: Beatriz S. Malab (646 sq m), Evangeline S. Galacgac (539), Amador C. Bareng (1,458), Antonio T. Tabios (339), Consolacion P. Pugat (1,350), Charito L. Samsam, et al (510), Potenciana G. Samsam (541), Concepcion S. Galacgac (503), Leonida M. Nalundasan (505), and Amado P. Tolentino (524).

The signing of agreement on voluntary land transfer and the awarding of CLAOs were made in the presence of Batac Municipal Agrarian Officer Norma A. de Jesus.

This group of beneficiaries is the second batch of individuals who have finally received their CLAOs. In 2004, then MMSU President Saturnino M. Ocampo Jr awarded 10 other CLAOs to individuals, also from Sitio Bacucang, Brgy. Quiling Sur.

This important undertaking of the present administration is made possible through the office of the Land Acquisition, Titling, and Utilization Committee headed by Dr. Arnold F. Dumaoal with the assistance of the university’s Legal Counsel Gemmo G. Guillermo.
