LES mentor to receive LEAD national award

A faculty member of the MMSU Laboratory Elementary School in Laoag City was chosen as recipient of the prestigious National Excellence Award by the Leadership in Education Academy Development (LEAD) Philippines, Inc.

 

Ms. May Flor C. Rivera was cited as outstanding elementary teacher after a meticulous evaluation by the organization’s board of members. She was selected among hundreds of teachers across the country who were nominated for the category.

 

The awarding ceremony will be held online on October 3 at 5:00 pm via official Facebook page of the national organization. 

 

“I thank God for His never-ending grace and mercy. I am so honored that my work and efforts were recognized,” Rivera said.

 

“I know that I still have much to learn, but with the continued support and encouragement from people around me, I know I can accomplish a lot,” she added.  

 

Aside from her passion for teaching, Rivera is also a winning coach of various provincial and national competitions. 

 

Meanwhile, the LEAD National Excellence Award is given to exemplary administrators and teachers in the different fields of education. It also recognizes those who excel in the fields of journalism, research, and business education.

 

LEAD Philippines Inc. is a service-oriented organization that provides seminars and workshops to educational leaders and teachers. It is also internationally-accredited by United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC).

 

It is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with accreditation as CPD provider for professional teachers by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). (StratCom)
