And Another feather adorns her cap.

Dr. Marivic Alimbuyuguen, coordinator of the Ilocos Norte Center for Human Rights Education (INCHRE), was recently recognized by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) as most outstanding CHRE coordinator in Region 1.

In a citation signed by CHR Chairperson Leila de Lima, Alimbuyuguen was lauded \"for her outstanding leadership that paved the way for the advancement of a human rights culture by means of education and training of the different stakeholders\".

The MMSU-based INCHRE, which Alimbuyuguen has led since its launch in 2004, conducts trainings and seminars on human rights to a broad spectrum of clientele – from public officials to community volunteers, and to students. (Herdy L. Yumul)
