Graduate School<font style=\"font-weight: bold;\" size=\"5\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana;\">ICIERD is best PCIERD consortium</span></font>
THE ILOCOS Consortium for Industry and Energy Research and Development (ICIERD) based at MMSU was chosen 2008 Best Regional Consortium by the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development (PCIERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
The award was given during the 26th anniversary celebration of PCIERD held at Dusit Hotel Nikko. The celebration ran with the theme “Science @ work: Interventions thru Industry and Energy Technologies”.
The 3rd Search for Outstanding PCIERD Regional Consortium gave a push to the 11 regional R&D consortia to compete with each other in terms of accomplishments such as R&D, seminars, technology generation and diffusion, among others. However, it was a friendly competition because the best and appropriate practices from each region were presented and would be possibly replicated by the different consortia.
The award carried a cash prize of P250,000 and a project grant of P5-M through DOST’s Grants-in-Aid Program.
