<FONT face=Verdana size=5><STRONG>CSC officers take oath; CHS lass in top post</STRONG></FONT>
AFTER RATIFICATION by the students of the Central Student Council (CSC) officers, they finally took their oath of office before President Miriam E. Pascua in simple ceremony at the Office of the President, July 24.
Verena Lace B. Oanu, a fourth year nursing student, holds the highest position as president making her the new student regent who will represent the studentry in the Board of Regents, the highest policy making body of the university chaired by CHED Commissioner Nenalyn P. Defensor.
The other officers are: Ric Paul L. Macugay (CIT), vice president; Czarina Mae Claudine L. Cid (CHS), secretary; Marvin A. Acacio (CoE), treasurer; Emmanuel U. Aguiran (CoE), auditor; Zyrill Pauline N. Domingo (CTE), business manager; and Maylanie H. Tiedra (CIT), external public information officer.
Of the total voting population of 8,820 – 5,845 (66.26%) went to cast their votes, July 17.
The activity was conducted in all the colleges for students to formally confirm the officers’ positions as there was no election done because of the absence of an opposing party.
