<P><STRONG><FONT face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=5>Competency enhancement seminar for frontline staff held</FONT></STRONG></P>
A COMPETENCY enhancement seminar for frontline staff of the university was held May 17-18 at the University Training Center.
Eight modules were discussed by CBEA faculty members as well as by two key officials of the university that included the president.
The following were the topics discussed and their respective speakers: values re-orientation — Dr. Nancy Balantac; human relations — Prof. Lea Ballesteros; ethics and responsibility in public service — Dr. Cristina Coloma; effective communication skills — Prof. Constante Salasac; behavior in the use of telephone and other office tools — Ms. Armie Sabugo; role of government employees as advocates of public accountability — Dr. Miriam Pascua; office housekeeping — Ms. Analyn Manglal-lan; office protocol — Prof. Lilia Guieb; stroke prevention — Dr. Leonisa Silvestre; and first aid — Mr. Amel Cacao.
The seminar was made possible upon the initiative of the Extension Directorate headed by Director Marivic M. Alimbuyuguen.
