The Professional Regulation Commission has announced the passing of 143 MMSU graduates in the December 2006 licensure examination for nurses.

This recorded an 88 percent passing rating for the university as against the national record of only 49 percent representing 19, 712 new nurses.  Exactly 40, 147 graduates took the examination on Dec. 2-3 last year. A total of 162 of these came from MMSU. Meanwhile, only three of 15 repeaters passed the recent test registering a rating of only 20 percent.  These test repeaters were among exam takers in the controversial June 2006 licensure examination who were required by the Supreme Court to re-take the test especially on some areas where there was alleged leakage of some test questions.

In 2005, 161 of 190 graduates from the university passed the said examination posting a passing rating of 85 percent which made the university as sixth top-performing school of nursing in the Philippines.  Two graduates even landed on the second and third spots among examination topnotchers.
